OF THE EAST UNION TOWNSHIP

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WHEREAS, David Bedio served on the Board of the East Union Township Sewer Authority from January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2008; and

WHEREAS, David Bedio spent freely of his own time in ensuring that the Authority’s equipment and facilities were maintained and repaired; and

WHEREAS, David Bedio performed many difficult and complex administrative tasks as Chairman of the Authority; and

WHEREAS, David Bedio negotiated a successful reduction of fines imposed on the Authority by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Environmental Resources; and

WHEREAS, as a result of said, the East Union Township Sewer Authority realized a great savings in funds; and

WHEREAS, David Bedio performed his services without pay or other emoluments, and at great personal inconvenience;

IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the East Union Township Board of Supervisors, in their own right and on behalf of the citizens of East Union Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, do hereby extend their thanks and appreciation to David Bedio for his services to the East Union Township Sewer Authority.

EAST UNION TOWNSHIP

RESOLUTION FOR PLAN REVISION

Resolution of the Supervisors of East Union Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (hereinafter “the municipality”).

WHEREAS, Section 5 of the Act of January 24, 1966, P.L. 1535, No. 537, known as the “Pennsylvania Sewage Facility Act,” as amended, and the Rules and Regulations of the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) adopted there under, Chapter 71 of Title 25 of the Pennsylvania Code, requires the municipality to adopt an Official Sewage Facility Plan providing for sewage services adequate to prevent contamination of waters of the commonwealth and/or environmental health hazards from sewage wastes, and to revise said plan whenever it is necessary to meet the sewage disposal need of the municipality, and

WHEREAS, East Union Township has prepared a Planning Module Component for sewage facilities for eight (8)Equivalent Dwelling Units, along Chapel Road (S.R. 1005), and the alternative of choice to be implemented is an approximately 900’ extension of sanitary sewers from the intersection of 1st Street and Chapel Road, along Chapel Road. The key implementation activity is the installation of the sanitary sewer extension which is anticipated to be completed in year 2010.

WHEREAS, East Union Township finds that the proposed sanitary sewer extension plan described above conforms to applicable zoning, subdivision and other municipal Ordinances and plans to the comprehensive program of pollution control and water quality management.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Supervisors of the Township of East Union hereby adopt and submit to the Department for its approval as a revision to the “Official Plan” of the municipality, the above referenced Plan. The municipality hereby assures the Department of the complete and timely implementation of the said plan as required by law. (Section 5, Pennsylvania Sewage Facility Act as amended).

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST UNION, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA FOR THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS.

WHEREAS, the purpose of this resolution is to authorize the Treasurer to transfer funds between accounts for payrolls as needed and;

WHEREAS, employees of the Township get paid out of various funds and;

WHEREAS, the Township will be issuing all employee payrolls out of the General Fund Bank Account  for the purpose of tracking liability accounts and;

WHEREAS, the money paid out of the General Fund for employee payrolls, which are eligible to be paid out of other accounts will be transferred the same date the paychecks are issued.

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Supervisors of East Union Township hereby authorize the Treasurer to transfer money for employee payrolls out of various funds as needed.

Duly adopted at a meeting held on this 1st day of February, 2010.

WHEREBY, East Union Township has adopted Ordinance No. 4 of 2010 entitled EAST UNION TOWNSHIP ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE on this 12th day of July  2010.

WHEREBY, East Union Township desires to appoint Pamela Urban, the Animal Control Officer, allowing him to enforce the Rules and Regulations set forth in the

East Union Township Animal Control Ordinance.

BE IT RESOLVED, that on this 12th day of July 2010, the Board of Supervisors of East Union Township hereby appoints Pamela Urban, Animal Control Officer to enforce the Rules and Regulations set forth in the East Union Township Animal Control Ordinance.

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-12

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF EAST UNION TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, APPOINTING THE INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTING FIRM OF PATTON AND LETTICH TO MAKE EXAMINATION AND AUDIT ALL TOWNSHIP ACCOUNTS FOR THE 2010 FISCAL YEAR.

WHEREAS, East Union Township desires to appoint a firm of certified or competent public accountants to make an examination of and audit all the accounts of the Township for the 2010 fiscal year; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of East Union Township desires to appoint the accounting firm of Patton and Lettich, 2500 West End Avenue, Suite 10, Pottsville, PA 17901 as CPA for East Union Township; and

WHEREAS, the accounting firm of Patton and Lettich is registered in this Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, the appointment made herein shall serve to replace the elected auditors with the appointed accounting firm pursuant and subject to the provision of 53 P.S. 65917 (b)(1); and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of East Union Township finds that the appointment of said firm to examine the Townships accounts is in the best interest of the municipality or its residents.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that East Union Township hereby authorizes, by adoption of this resolution, the appointment of said firm to perform those duties set forth herein.
